Space will be limited to 12 people for each event. The individual fee will be £60 all inclusive. Materials will be provided but you may also bring your own if you wish.
Workshops will run from 11am to 5.30 pm – timed to allow participants to travel by train from Inverness, alighting at the Attadale Halt. The October workshop may start/finish earlier to make the most of daylight hours.

This workshop will give you an introduction to botanical illustration, focusing on shapes and colour in the Gardens. Cancelled due to continuing issues with the Coronavirus outbreak

3. Fri 31st July – ‘Figures in the Garden’

We will look for outdoor spaces created by light and shade in the Gardens and how figures occupy these. A mixed media workshop .

4.Thurs 8th October – ‘Momijigari’ (Japanese – admiring Autumn leaves) – drawing and printmaking

‘Momijigari’ or ‘red-leaf hunting’ is a popular Japanese pastime in Autumn. We will go looking for the shapes and patterns of autumn colours and to think about colour compositions. The Japanese Garden at Attadale provides a good starting point.

The Attadale events will include the materials needed for the workshop and will include lunch and a tour of Attadale House, which is not normally open to the public.

The all-inclusive price for these workshops is only £60
