EXHIBITIONS IN ATTADALE GATEHOUSE
Three small art exhibitions were planned for the Attadale Gardens Gatehouse in 2020, we had to cancel the first one, but we have uploaded a video with some of the work that we might have shown, this exhibition is linked below. As long as social distancing has been relaxed enough to allow them to go ahead our remaining two exhibitions are detailed below.
Landscapes and Figures
Thursday 1/10 – 31/10 – Amongst Trees (exploring different aspects of trees)
Opening event Thursday 1st October 4pm to 7pm.
This Spring, we planned to have a special exhibition in Attadale Gardens but of course like so many other events, the Coronavirus crisis put an end to our plans. There is no substitute for real life but we thought it would be good to take you to the “virtual exhibition” in a video. Hope you like it.
“Back in the late 1980s, when major storms brought down the tall old Scots pines that grew above the garden and down the drive, Nicky (Macpherson) seized the opportunity to create something new. The hillside had to be clear felled and over a thousand new trees were planted. This was only the beginning.”Attadale Gardens

An Talla Dearg
After our successful exhibition last year Aileen and Cindie are delighted to be invited back to exhibit at An Talla Dearg Gallery on Skye in 2020 as long as social distancing has been relaxed enough to allow the exhibition to go ahead.
With fellow Lochcarron-based artist Steven Proudfoot
“The gallery inspired by the late Sir Iain Noble hosts a range of exhibitions throughout the season, from April to October. The legacy continues with the support of Lucilla, Lady Noble. This unique and intimate location allows the artist to be present and often creatively working in the gallery. Exhibitions run from April to October.”An Talla Dearg

The Loch Torridon Centre and Gallery
The Loch Torridon Centre is a great place to visit, if you are in the area. Both Aileen and Cindie have work on show at the great wee gallery and there is a lovely selection of other works for the viewer to enjoy.
The gallery has at least two themed exhibitions every year and invites local artists to take part. They also have a great selection of glass, pottery, jewellery and other hand-crafted items.
There are also two great cafés in Torridon, the Wee Whistle Stop at the Centre and a cosy and friendly space at the Torridon Stores. More information on both these eateries and some other great places to visit, please click to our links page, accessed from the menu above
